Happy Spring!

Happy Spring! It seemed like winter would go on forever, I hope you’re enjoying it. I wanted to let you know that my new single “Drag Queen” is released tomorrow, March 18th, 2016, worldwide. The single release includes four remixes by such talents as Jose Jimenez, Joe Gillan, Vauxhall Boys and Switch Twista [thanks to Barbara Sobel of Sobel Promotions, NY] plus the original album version and another song from my “Gray Matterz” album, “What’s the Time in Tokyo” that I wrote with talented producer and multi-instrumentalist Paul Drew of DWB Music Ltd. in the UK and fabulous Danish writer, Marcus Winther-John.  The single will be a digital release only however you can get a physical copy at amazon on demand, just do a search there.

We got an “exclusive” for the video of “Drag Queen" from the UK’s Gay Times Magazine. They were the first ones to break the news, you can view it via their site: https://www.gaytimes.co.uk/culture/30417/exclusive-marcella-detroits-drag-inspired-new-music-video/ or on youtube.  The song was written about a Drag Queen that I met through a mutual friend. As a drag queen, Australian entertainer Courtney Act, is stunning and has a great voice. I went to write with her at her house and when she opened the door I was stunned at her beauty as a man as well. I found myself having a little crush on her and that night, I had I dream I was kissing her, [the Drag Queen] in my dream. I woke up and thought, “ok I have to write a song about this”!
